2007 Russian River Valley Syrah

Our 2007 Syrah was grown at Latitude 38°35'16.20" North, Longitude 122°48'10.24" West ('X' marks the vines on the front label) at the highest point of Windsor Oaks Vineyards. As is traditional in the Rhone Valley, we used native yeasts and 25% whole clusters for fermentation. We did this to create complexity and enhance the white pepper, spice and game notes typical of great Syrah. It pairs wonderfully with a rack of lamb and a beautiful sunset.
